I picked this up after DNF’ing a few months prior, and all my issues with it were thankfully contained to the first 10%-ish (something I’d heard from other readers and was the main factor in deciding to give it another go). Once the story gets going, and we get to Florence’s hometown, this becomes sweet and emotional with a really lovely romance.
