“Karma’s a relaxing thought, are you envious that for you it’s not” whoa this book is a lesson in karma. I really struggle with anything that is “paranormal” so the whole pebble thing wasn’t my fav and I still don’t understand it but I still really enjoyed the story and mystery of it all. Gabe’s commitment to finding Izzy was inspiring yet heartbreaking and the backstory with Isabelle was wild. So many interconnecting stories that eventually tied together but sad in the ways they did. I know they are fictional characters but I can’t help but hope in this fictional universe they get a fresh start and live happily ever after. Gabe never speaks to his in laws again or lets them see Izzy. Gabe and Katie build a life together with their kids where they are safe. I will definitely be reading CJ’s other books and maybe there will be a sequel where we get to see where they all go from here.
