A Place for Us by Fatima Farheen Mirza

I don’t remember crying this much over a book; so much that I had to just had to put down my e-reader for weeks before trying to pick it up again and finish the story.
Almost every word, emotion, experience described in the book was relatable to me. This typical Asian family with their basic religious and cultural struggles couldn’t be any different than mine. Yet the last part of the novel was so unexpected, it just had my heart in pieces.
The disjointed perspectives throughout the book got a bit annoying to track at one point, but only in the end did all make sense, and it was so so beautiful.
