A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas
4.0
It looks like I finally finished rereading this book. It took me quite a long time. Actually, if I didn't need to study today, I would probably finish it next month. But all is as it has to be.
I remember that I was intrigued by this book when I read it for the first time in 2015. I was the littlest bit disappointed by the ending. However, reading the book second time made me notice some small details that now I'm not feeling so annoyed with it.
I have not continued with the series when the second book came out. Mostly, that's because I was really disappointed with how the fourth book in the other series by Sarah J. Maas had turned out. And now I'm ready to see where the story is actually going.
As for the novel itself, that is probably the most surprising Beauty and the Beast retelling. I can't exactly remember how it was the first time around, and the second one I already knew a lot of what happened, but it still managed to surprise me. Actually, here we have a more or less reasonable main character and there wasn't a moment when I would've been irritated with her choices. She did the best she could with tools at her disposal.
There is nothing else to do besides to read the next book.

Spoiler
as I do hate all the love triangles, squares and who knows what other figures some authors could've come up with. And you guessed right if you think that that's what we got at the endI have not continued with the series when the second book came out.
