Rebekah's Way by Kirsten Lawler, Kirsten Lawler
5.0
This is the story of Rebekah. You know, the Rebekah from the Bible who married Isaac and gave birth to Jacob and Esau!?
While this is a fictionalized account, I was very pleasantly surprised by how biblically accurate it remained. It beautifully marries what we've read in the Bible with some filled-in gaps to bring the story to life. I knew the story going in, but I absolutely loved getting insight into what Rebekah's mindset might have been throughout the various stages of her life. The writing is beautiful and helps Rebekah feel more like a real person with human fears, frustrations, hopes, and celebrations.
I really enjoyed this book and highly recommend if you like biblical retellings!
Want to read the story in the Bible first? Read Genesis 24-28!
