One of Us Is Lying by Karen M. McManus
5.0
One of Us Is Lying was fast paced, fun, and very enthralling. Once I picked this book up I could not put it down. I thoroughly enjoyed reading the perspective of our four suspects and seeing how they all used this bad circumstance to become close friends. One of my favourite things about the book was the character development of Addy. At the beginning of the book she was incredible superficial and certainly not an enjoyable character but by the end I was fully rooting for her, she's a character not to judge. I definitely think that Karen has a niche for creatively writing mystery and suspense but also making it relatable. The investigation held by the police was so messy and I honestly believe that to be quite accurate. These days I find the Police force just try and get everything resolved quickly so they can move on from it all. It was recently announced that the book is set to be adapted for TV, which I think will do so well and I'm excited for the sequel that'll be released in 2020.
