It hurts to give this such a low review. I thought Daughter of the Forest was such a special piece of literature that it fueled my interest in finishing the series.

I think the formula at this point felt overused/overplayed. The internal dialogue drove me absolutely insane. Oh really Maeve, you feel two extreme things at once with EVERYTHING? The pace didn’t grab me like the others did.
I still love you Juliet Marillier. I probably just need get lost in one of your other worlds.
