This has a lot of potential. I just wanted MORE. It felt sometimes like we got over detailed information on unimportant things and then on the world building and lore we were not given much.
I really did appreciate this take on an inclusive society where the default is to use they / them pronouns for everyone before knowing if they prefer another option and I loved that everyone knew and used sign language as well. I just would have also loved a little more depth on the culture.

I think the author is talented overall, the writing was good, but I just wasn’t hooked like I was hoping to be.
