The Disappeared by Kristina Ohlsson

3.0

The discovery of the body of a missing woman dredges up old crimes and uncovers new ones and leads to even newer crimes being committed. Fredrika Bergman has returned to work after having a baby and is immediately thrust into investigating the discovery of the body. The list of suspects grow but none of them are unquestionably guilty. Failings in previous investigations come back to haunt the current one and suspicions are not in short supply.

This just leads to confusion at times and it feels repetitious as they go over the possibilities. I mostly enjoyed this but felt there were too many lines going at the same time. The explanation for events is also confusing and some of the situations just don't feel real. Who just stops talking decades?

This is the first book in the series that I have read and if the other books come up for sale I might consider buying. But I won't go looking for them.
