I liked the premise of this book – high school assignment that ends up becoming more. I wish I had an assignment like this in school! This was all about coping with loss and realizing that you cannot solve problems by ignoring the things that happened along the way. Everyone and everything plays a part in your story and sometimes you have to let the right ones in and kick the bad ones out. I loved the people that Laurel chooses to write too, and the reasons behind those people. I would recommend this book to anyone – especially teens.
