When I started this book with my mum on audio I was a little uncertain about whether I wanted to continue with the series because the second one didn’t grip me as much as the previous and seemed a little repetitive. Nevertheless, I must admit that, now that I’ve finished this third one, I can’t wait for the next instalment to come out. This book has in fact become my favourite of the series and the cliffhanger at the end of it is making me eager to pick up the sequel as soon as it is released.
If in the previous novels what I liked the most were the characters and the humor, in this one it was the mystery plot that really surprised me and kept me guessing until the last page. I had indeed many guesses and I was sure that at least one of them was right, whereas, when the plot twist arrived, I was totally taken by surprise. Moreover, one aspect i appreciated more than i thought I would, is the romance involving Finlay. To sum up, I am really pleased with this novel and I am waiting for March 5th to continue the adventures with the characters.
