It had to be a Five Star rating because this book did what no other book ever has before, it creeped the hell out of me and that is not easily done. I’m no stranger to horror, I’m a massive Stephen King fan but this tale just gave me the creeps, especially the first 100 pages. I enjoyed it a lot. Creepy, confusing and mysterious with a few twists, some I saw coming and some that I didn’t. This book definitely overshot my expectations. I definitely won’t be forgetting the name Stephanie Merritt any time soon.
