Holy shit man. I cannot believe i’ve found my new favorite book of all time & my all-time favorite character, but apparently i have. I really went into the book very open-minded but not expecting nothing special (even less my new favorite thing in the world), but nothing could prepare me for this turmoil of emotions that coursed through me while reading this piece of heaven.
I seriously need to collect my thoughts and take a deep breath because my brain is not computing right now

WHERE SHOULD I START?
Okay, i think Alex Stern is a good starting point.
She absolutely has become my favorite character of all times, and the best of it all is that i wasn’t for one second expecting to love her or this book so fucking much!!!! But guess what? I FREAKING DID!!!!!!

She’s perfect in a very human way, definitely not the kind of Mary Sue that you would expect her to be. She doesn’t make the best choices and she makes A LOT of mistakes, but she has such a strong will and such a fierceness that makes her absolutely perfect to me.
Her thoughts, her way to piece things together, what she expects from life, the way she deals with her difficulties, the way her mind works...everything is STUNNING

On the other hand the rest of this book is also exquisite, from the writing, the themes that are acknowledged to the resolution of the problems and the way that everything is pieced together is just chef’s kiss in my opinion. Also, the magic system in this is so complex but so so good it felt so real to me (i have to admit that at fist i was a little bit lost especially with the way the magic worked, but eventually i found myself flowing with the vibe of the book and suddenly everything clicked for me)

I’m literally obsessed and this book has definitely changed my life in the best way possible and has left such a strong and lasting impression on me that i really fear that i might be in a reading slump after it. I need the sequel RIGHT NOW!!!
