The Playlist checks all the boxes for me. The pining, the banter, and the spice were all so well done. Best friend's brother is one of my fave tropes too, so it all came together for me in this book. There's not much sexier than a man who really sees you. The way I squeaked and kicked my feet when I read, “I’ve spent my entire life categorizing your likes and dislikes, waiting for the moment you’d let me in.”... I mean SWOON. This one also hits different with it's love of Taylor Swift. I am a newer Swiftie myself, but after having seen The Eras Tour live, I get it. So does Morgan Elizabeth. The hope and romanticism and emotions that are tied up in Swift's music are reflected so well in this story. I read it on KU, then had to pick up a copy for my shelf at home. I loved it that much.
