I was worried this book would be too juvenile for my teen collection at work, but upon reading it -- it will be right at home. With a delightful, sometimes crass, and wildly affirming and supportive cast of characters, this print publication of a popular webcomic shines. The tone and humor of it alone was well placed and even meta at times, often feeling like I was in on a joke with the author, as the line work and art style grew more defined over the course of the book. This will appeal to middle schoolers, but they might need encouragement to try it as the color scheme reads very young (they are the princesses of the Pastel kingdom, afterall), though there is definitely crossover appeal for high school and adult readers looking for something a little different.
