It's OK That You're Not OK: Meeting Grief and Loss in a Culture That Doesn't Understand by Megan Devine
5.0
Took me a long time to get through because, apparently grief makes your concentration levels plummet. Listened to the audiobook read by the author but also have the hardcopy.
This is a must read if your world has been turned upside down by a devastating loss. Also highly recommend to anyone wondering how to better support (and understand) someone who has experienced such a loss. If you're looking for a gift to give someone who has suffered a recent loss, buy them this book.
I'm not sure if I'll ever figure out how to create "a life around the edges of what will always be a vacancy[,]" but this book is a good start.
The author's website https://refugeingrief.com is also great.
