Last Call at the Local by Sarah Grunder Ruiz
3.5
You won’t wonder what could’ve been if you’d just been a little braver. Don’t give up something you love just because it’s difficult.
two people who are very different are attracted to each other. the female main character loves to travel and discover something new while the male love interest feels comfortable on his own, the crowd makes him nervous and anxious. with ADHD and ocd representation, I would say I had so much fun reading this book. it’s unique and new, I’m giggling but also anticipating what could happen next.
these two main characters are tied by the local community born in the local bar in Irish, trying to build a home for people to socialize and have fun. I love how they team up to upgrade the bar, also it build their relationship along the way. besides that, the emotion that rises because of the fear of the unknowing future of their romance is so much fun to get through. I also love the therapy session that played such a big part in the character’s improvement.
I just wish I could get more explanations and moments with the two main characters to make me obsessed with their relationship. but, overall such a fun reading experience.
