“When we choose to suffer our children suffer too” is a quote from this gorgeous book that struck me, it also best describes the theme of the book. It touches on complexities of grief, how it can encapsulate us and the way it trickles down to the people we love and care about. It shows power of understanding how limited everyone’s time is here, how people are not possessions, how souls simultaneously occupy and transcend the realm we live in. And it asks is “how do you free oneself from eating your pain”?
