Another fun book in the series. I enjoyed Meri on the run and then disguising herself as a cabin boy (although Brennon was never fooled). I was a little thrown off that Meri going off was not part of Lady Eville’s plans like the other two. She seemed a little distracted this book with Rosalie.

Brennon and Meri were fun. Their bickering and him just being infatuated with her from the start. There was just something about her he could not let go off. And his persistence ended up paying off.

Howland the cook was precious, loved him. And Lad the selkie, he was fun! And my boy Vasili, I love him (I’ll always remember you).

At the end we did kind of bring the overall series plot back around with Allemar being back in a physically form so it’ll be interesting to see how he comes back into play.
