Hideaway by Penelope Douglas
5.0
I love the Horsemen of Thunder Bay! There's no denying it! After reading Corrupt, I totally thought Michael was gonna be it for me, but then along comes this book. Hideaway is the story of Kai and Banks. Kai is still having trouble adjusting to the disappointment his father feels in him following the events in the beginning of the first book. Banks is basically the kicking post for the evil man that is her father and torn between wanting to be with Kai and wanting to be loyal to the guy who basically raised her. I became so emotionally invested in this story that I found myself in tears half the time yelling at Banks to just let down her walls and freaking love Kai! These two tortured souls belonged together...and the author did a fantastic job building up the tension, both sexual and otherwise, in this book that I was bursting at the seams. Oh, and just when I thought the author couldn't write anything hotter than the sauna scene in Corrupt, she presents us with the pantry scene in Hideaway! O.M.G.! This book gets all the thumbs up in the world!
