Paperbacks from Hell: The Twisted History of '70s and '80s Horror Fiction by Grady Hendrix

5.0

I had such a fun time reading Paperbacks from Hell! I did wish it went more in-depth in some parts, but I really loved the overall view of horror int he '70s and '80s and how everything evolved. My favorite parts, for personal reasons, were the chapters that talked about Satan/religion in horror as well as haunted houses and how heavy metal music went hand in hand with the genre.

Shoutout as well to all the covers included in the book! They were so much fun to look through and my personal favorites were all the crab ones :D
