The Bishop's Pawn by Steve Berry
3.0
2.5 Stars a lukewarm experience
The first person narrative didn't work for me. It made the book feel hokey and made Cotton feel self absorbed. It invited a level of introspection that didn't work for the character, in my opinions. That said I'm glad Berry tried it. Branching out is a positive.
