“I could eat the world for what it’s done to me.”

Oh.
OH.
OHHHHHHHHHH!

I have been PROWLING for a good queer vampire book, and this is EVERYTHING and more that I’ve been looking for. This is utterly fantastic.

The prose and characterization of this book is simply lush. That’s all I can think to describe it: lush and verdant, like biting into a sweet, juicy strawberry. I am so utterly enamored with this book. Léon and Claire are so easy to adore, an their lives and struggles are beautifully understood and confronted over the course of this novel. Seeing their relationship and care they have for each other was utterly delightful (and, I can admit, I envy them deeply).

God, I laughed and cried a bit and enjoyed every sultry bit that happened in between. This was such an endearing book and I cannot recommend picking it up more. Thank you to the author for sending me an ARC!
