Reunion by Meg Cabot

This is like a fangirling mess, so read at your own caution
Speaking of Suze's stepbrothers, their casual use of the word "mom" in this book just throws Suze for a loop every time it's mentioned. She's just like whoa, wait, when did they start referring to my mom as just mom in reference to them. I like that that shows how they've really kinda accepted their new family status. They have no problem with it. And, ya know, Brad and Suze already fight like brother and sister. Suze took quickest to David cause he's younger and adorable. And Jake's basically been acting like big brother since he went to her aid at the end of book one, I really love when he plays big brother like in this book.
And as usual there's always some Suze/Jesse moments that make me squeal with glee. This interaction especially:
"I don't understand why you are so unhappy about it," Jesse said. He had stretched out across the tiles, contented as I'd ever seen him. "I like it much better this way."
"What way?" I groused. I couldn't get quite as comfortable. I kept finding prickly pine needles beneath my butt.
"Just the two of us," he said with a shrug. "Like it's always been."
JUST THE TWO OF US!! HE LIKES HIS ALONE TIME WITH YOU SUSANNAH!
I think my favorite scene from the book though is when Suze, Jesse, and Father D go down to the beach where the RLS Angels died and talk to them. I liked the trek down there and all the different interactions that went on. And then getting the whole story about how they died.
Book Status Section:
pg. 124: Yes, woo the girl by taking her to the scene of the crime
pg. 124 again: OMG PLEASE MICHAEL (in reference to him talking about the make out point
pg. 124 yet again: LOOOOOLLLLLL Suze couldn't get out of that car fast enough!
pg. 212: I always imagine Suze rolling her eyes after talking to Michael
pg. 214: Jake being all big brotherly :)
Spoiler
The adventures of Suze continue! I really loved having Gina come visit. She's also one of the few people who know about Suze's ghostly business and she actually gets to learn a bit more about it. Whenever I read books were the main character moves I feel like we never really get much from their past friendships, it's just like oh well I moved must cease contact. We got more interaction with Suze's stepbrothers because of them vying for Gina's affections. Out of the three brothers I always feel like Jake is the one I know less about cause he's always working or sleeping (hence the nickname Sleepy) but him and Gina have a little thing so he's more active and talkative in this book.Speaking of Suze's stepbrothers, their casual use of the word "mom" in this book just throws Suze for a loop every time it's mentioned.
