The Country of the Blind: A Memoir at the End of Sight by Andrew Leland
5.0
As someone also in the throes of losing my vision this book was truly everything I needed & wanted. I highlighted more than I ever do, so much was perfectly said about the experience of facing blindness!!!
However, I strongly feel this is a book for everyone. This is not a sad sappy tale, this is an empowering, thoughtful look at the Blind experience and even the greater disabled experience. Truly a marvel of a book.
