Saint Juniper's Folly by Alex Crespo
medium-paced
- Plot- or character-driven? A mix
- Strong character development? No
- Loveable characters? No
2.5
It felt like exposition for the first 75% then suddenly there was discussion of emotions and relationships. Both the romance and the found family ideas felt rushed and like it was just ticking boxes. Not thrilling or scary like the description says.
The audiobook had 3 narrators, and I like when they have a cast like that. Unfortunately the narrator for Jamie sounds like unnatural AI and threw me off the storyline several times. If it weren’t for the other two narrators I would’ve stopped listening.
