I can't believe I waited until I was 36 years old to read this masterpiece. The only other Dickens I've read is A Tale of Two Cities, which I loved, but it was so very fun to read something of his that's slightly more accessible. I sat down with this book around 5:30 this morning, and here I am at 11:30 already writing my review. I absolutely devoured it! I love Dickens's dry, dark humor and the way he makes you love even the curmudgeoniest of old men. I love the juxtaposition of turning a Christmas story into a horror story. It was just. so. good.
