And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie
4.0
Ten random strangers end up on a tiny island, cut off from the world for several days. There is a murderer amongst them, killing them off one-by-one. Everyone has their own dark secrets & all are suspects. If you think you know who the killer is, you are probably wrong.
The bizarre little poem, Ten Little Solder Boys that the characters see upon arriving is haunting as each line seems to match how each character dies. It was fun going back to the poem and see how the story played out. I read this book with notes on each characters. There was one character I really liked, Philip Lombard, described as a resourceful man who knows how to get out of tight spots, a bit dangerous, bold & mysterious.
Agatha Christie known as the Queen of Mystery totally delivers a juicy whodunnit murder mystery that was originally published in 1939. What a fun book to read with my book club!
