Spirits of Vengeance by Rob J. Hayes
Did not finish book.
2.5 stars
The book just doesn't do for me, I liked the world and everything but it felt like the world doesn't have a definite boundary the magic system all felt so open there's no sense of limitation.
The characters are likeable and all but I just don't feel the stakes in this one, The Battle Scenes sigh
The battle scenes in this book felt like the battle scenes we skip during an action movie because it doesn't do anything, no sense of awe, no sense of impending death and no adrenaline rush now I'll forgive the first two factors but I need the 3rd one otherwise battle scenes are as good as training montages .
At the end I just felt nothing maybe it's my mind but hope anyone reading this works for you.
