Infinity Welcomes Careful Drivers by Grant Naylor
5.0
This is an excellent read, I'm on at least my third time through. While much of this story is straight out of the series it does contain some notable changes. There's some new content too, largely centred around Lister's arrival on Red Dwarf.
I love the tv series, but somehow I think both the scifi and the style of comedy work better in book form. The scifi concepts take up a more centre stage role in the book and the humour isn't strategically placed to allow for a laugh track.
Chris Barrie does an entirely sensational narration and it's worth checking out the audiobook just to hear how well he does every other character's voice.
