Let me start by saying that I'm going to love Eric Carle simply because of his artwork alone. However, this was the cutest story and he did a wonderful job at illustrating how dads have a role in taking care of their kids and that even in some species they are responsible for carrying the egg and making sure they hatch the right way. He did it in such a smooth manner that I didn't realize what was going on until closer towards the end.
