this book follows the simonverse characters, specifically leah (as you can tell from the title) as she struggles through many changes a crush on a girl who is best friend who is dating her other best friend.

this book was enjoyable! i loved being able to see the characters from simon vs the homo sapiens agenda in a new light and simon and bram were adorable! i really liked abby (she's SUCH a cutie) and thought nick was a little bitch baby! i even liked leah! she's very cynical and negative but i still enjoyed her and the prom dress scene will probably stick with me for a while (here's for the girls that hate going clothes shopping in general because nothing fits and everything is too small for you AYYYYYY- ngl it made me cry LMAO)

my complaint is just the ending. it was so abrupt and did not address ANY of conflict points in the story. leah is against her mom's boyfriend the whole book, but actually talks to him towards the end and starts to like him. but we get NO addressing of that. how does leah break the news to garrett (who has a CRUSH on her) that she doesn't like him?? how does nick react to who leah ends up with?? all of these plot points were forgotten, and while we did get an email epilogue detailing who gets with who (which was so random btw) that is IT. it just left me reeling because the ending was so abrupt, and it lowkey just made the entire book seem pointless.

overall a good book though! it just left me feeling unfulfilled and eh, but it was a fun ride while it was going.
