5/5 stars. Audio book. I will keep this review short and sweet. This book was incredible. I am already a fan of Stephen Fry, but he did such an incredible job retelling the Greek myths. As he says, “you don’t need to know anything to start this book, it starts with an empty universe…no classical education is called for…there is nothing academic or intellectual about Greek mythology, it is addictive, entertaining, approachable and astonishingly human”. I have learned so much that, for most of my life, was difficult to understand. Fry makes the stories relatable and so compelling; he narrates the audio book. I would recommend this book to anyone who has always feared learning about the Greek myths.
