i'm only not giving this 5 stars because of that tease of a "happy" ending, as an act of rebellion to persuade the author to write a continuation to this novella. i wish this was a full lenght novel, i wanted more time with both characters, but especially more of micah's pov. i wanted a fully dark ruination arc for the fmc, i feel like this only scratched the surface of her deviance and with a teacher like her serial killer stalker she could reach the baddest bitch status. the smut was pure evil deliciousness, the letters at the begining of each chapter elevated not only the story but also their connection. i especially liked how there was no date on them, as time went by it started to puzzle what each letter related to, and the fact they were all mixed up added to the tension and unreliability of the narrator. this might be my favorite valentine's day novella.
