Monster in His Eyes by J.M. Darhower

4.0

Now that I’ve finished the entire series, I am writing my review for the first book. This book is a perfect example of what I want to see in a mafia series. The story was perfect and intriguing. The writing was slow-paced and intentional. The plot was given room to breathe while I got to know the characters. This story is told entirely from the FMC (Karissa)’s POV. While I usually prefer dual POV’s, I felt like the singular POV in this book was the right choice to keep the air of mystery surrounding Naz, the MMC. My full review for the series can be found on the last book of the trilogy, “Target On Our Backs.”
