Autistic reviewers have critiqued this book better than I ever could have (and you should go seek them out) but there's a whole lot of flubs with person first language, dated language, and abusive therapy techniques. Not my favorite so fuck this lady and her Autism Speaks-y nonsense. If those topics bother you definitely don't go into this book.

Outside of that the plot is very basic. Weak characters, stupid POV choices, and the twists felt added in at the last moment. I've read other things by Berry and this is a huge downgrade. I'd have considered this a DNF early on but it was a KU audiobook I used while cleaning my closet.
