Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman
5.0
Neverwhere is a fantastic fantasy novel that is chock full of ideas. In every chapter there is a new and interesting character to discover or a unique scene that takes place. Neil Gaiman seems to possess a boundless imagination. He's creating a whole new fantasy world with London Below, and while there is a lot to take in, it always feels accessible.
Rare is the novel with so many memorable characters. Door, Maquis Des Caracas, Hunter, Islington and most importantly Mr.Croup and Mr. Vandemar. Those two are some quality bad guys that you've made Mr. Gaiman.
There is so much to unpack in this novel as soon as I finished reading it, I wanted to go back through it again and see what I missed the first time.
I think this would be a good novel to get people into Neil Gaiman.
