His Noble Ruin by Lisa Campbell, Lisa Campbell

3.0

First of all, I absolutely adore this cover. It's kind of simple, yet it caught my eye right away and there just is something about it that keeps bringing me back to it.

The author's writing style has been interesting, fast paced and witty. However, for me the world building and the whole political setting could have used some more details / work. I really enjoyed the unexpected plot twists and how captivating this story has been. The romance has definitely been a slow-burn but I liked that the focus hasn't been just on that.

I absolutely loved the characters. Bryn with her impulsive and brave personality, but also her character development. And Graham, the person with the sad past and a complicated family background.

All up, I enjoyed His Noble Ruin by Lisa Campbell. It hasn't been an absolute favourite of mine but I would still recommend for you to pick it up and read this book. I'll also make sure to check out the next book in the series.
