This book took everything I liked from the first and doubled it. More diversity, more creativity with their characters, writing that was both emotional and action heavy. Amazing. Loved it. I will say tho, I don’t much care for Elo. I don’t. I wanted to, I really did, but at some points it felt annoying to know him. I did like his dynamic with Naia compared to him and Kissen. I also like Kissen with Lessa a lot. The dynamic feels so cool. It might be the straightness of Elo that made me shy away from his character. Idk. I think I’d like him more if he was queer. Even just like a little. Like so very tiny bit queer. Demisexual but straight. Even that would make him
More likable.
I love Inara and Skedi so so so so much. They remind me of Lyra and Pan from His Dark Materials. I love them and I got so much things reminiscing to Amber Spyglass in this book. They’re mainly why this book is five stars. I loved them. I don’t care about Arren as a POV in this story. I like looking at him in a different POV.
