The Calculated Series: Books 1-5 by K.T. Lee
4.0
K.T Lee's "The Calculated Series" is a fusion of mystery, suspense, mayhem and a dash of romance. A refreshing mix of brawn and brains presents engaging and thrilling plots with well-developed and memorable characters. The series is a far cry from the "damsels in distress" female leads. No, K.T's leading ladies from the dedicated and determined Ryland sisters, to the analytical and level-headed Quinn and the ever-loyal and supportive Alexis are always up to face the challenges and uncertainties that come their way. A humanistic element is attached to each of them with a tinge of awkwardness, no-filter musings and endearing shyness. The men mainly work for the CIA and the FBI but have a unique academic background that makes each one distinct. The interactions and banter between the characters are a delight to read. The interludes of romance are very endearing, and the characters are self-assured and are unafraid to reveal their inner thoughts. Each book has a thrilling plot that will have you at the edge of your seat. If you're seeking action and analytical story with strong protagonists with purposeful supporting characters, look no further. A 4.5 star read!
