I've been meaning to read this one since I read the first one in like 2019 but just never got to it. I started working at the library about a year and a half ago and recently switched to a new location. All this to say that one of our regular kids that comes in had me buddy read it with her lol (she still hasn't read it, naturally). I liked it more than the first book!
My favorite thing is complaining and it seems like that's all my notes consist of, not some big revelation or compliment, even if I 5 star the book lmao. This is so small but Butterscotch, Melody's dog, is a girl, but for literally like 90% of the book they call her a boy and I was like ???? Also on page 3 Melody calls Mrs. V her mom's best friend and I'm like, girl since when. Minor complaints tho lol.
Melody felt a lot more fleshed out in this book and I liked the characters and it was just a lot of fun! Love a good camp story (I write as I am currently reading Lumberjanes lol).
