The Midnight Feast by Lucy Foley
3.0
It took me a bit to get into this one, but once I did, I enjoyed the story and all the drama. The characters were interconnected in ways I didn’t quite expect and what I thought happened didn’t actually happen as the story went on.
When it comes to Lucy Foley books, I have enjoyed all the audiobooks I’ve listened to, largely due to the cast of narrators for each POV. I think if I read this book and some of her others in print, I wouldn’t have enjoyed it as much. It wasn’t a particularly incredible story, but hearing different POVs is like watching a documentary or listening to people talk and works for me for entertainment. I think I’d be much more critical if I read it like a novel.
Overall, I do recommend the audiobook and thought the story was quite entertaining.
