Three Simple Rules by Nikki Sloane

4.0

I expected to hate this book, especially after the (CW: sex work slurs) way sex work was discussed/treated by some from the start. Then it turned utterly delightful, especially the hero—he seemed very unusual in many ways and I absolutely loved him.

There’s a star knocked off for the way the heroine was treated by her best friend (CW for serious dubious consent—at best—that royally pissed me off) even though it was a means to an end (which I also didn’t love, but it worked okay enough in the end).

Also, the money thing—I’d wondered about this all along and didn’t like the way that question was answered. Along with this—while I really appreciated the way Evelyn approached her anger and trust toward Logan, I didn’t like the way he handled certain topics/situations that weren’t revealed til late in the book.

That said, I still absolutely loved Logan and Evelyn both, and especially together—they seemed to really make each other better people.
