Beautifully written, Stumbledirt is a novel which draws you into another world from the outset. The characters are rich and fulsome, well-drawn and strangely familiar. The story twists and turns and holds the reader's attention throughout. There are some difficult topics addressed in the novel with sensitivity and skill. The humour is plentiful and at times laugh-out-loud hilarious. The story is one which I think will stay with me for some time and I really will miss the comings and goings at Stumbledirt. Excellent debut.
