Verity by Colleen Hoover
5.0
This book kept me guessing right up until the last page. I appreciate how many twists and turns the author managed to set-up in just over 300 pages. The writing in this book was phenomenal and Hoover crafted such an intense and compelling thriller that I was surprised to learn that this wasn’t her “normal” genre. She had a way of writing that imbued almost every scene, once the story started, with a sense of fear and uncertainty. My one critique is that there was a lot of talk about sex in this book, almost too much, and I felt like most of it didn’t really have a point in the overall narrative.
