Know My Name by Chanel Miller

5.0

One of the most engrossing and throughly memoirs I’ve ever read. At this point we’ve all heard a lot about Chanel Miller - that’s she’s a great thinker, a game changing advocate, but she is also a damn good writer. This story could have focused on literally any other aspect of her identity: sister, daughter of a Chinese immigrant, school shooting survivor, MBA student partner, and the book would be just as captivating.

This did everything I expected it to: educated me about a deplorably broken system - made me see red with rage at how our society devalues women - etc. But now, I just want Chanel to write more things, think more thoughts, and keep creating, so we can hear more from her.
