Ballads don’t end happily, and neither do the two of us.
gotta be honest, this was almost a two star book. it became repetitive and boring, almost like a cycle.
eva trusts jacks, jacks betrays her, eva feels bad, jacks does something to help/saver, her eva trusts him again, and once again he somehow hurts her and so on. it was tiring, also, I get that stories have infinite endings I GET IT I don't know how many times was repeated but it lost its impact on me.
I don't have that much love for this book bc I truly thing the fanarts give a certain hype that the story doesn't manage to live up to. I don't think it's a bad or awful book but it's not my thing at all.
now I'm gonna admit, maybe it was because I literally lost any interest in it and got bored but towards the ending things did got more interesting. I was surprised and even enjoyed those last 15 chapters. shit just got real.
I'm actually kind of.. wanting to read the next book, something that I truly, at some point, thought I wouldn't do at least a couple of weeks after bc yeah I didn't think I would care.
