An absolutely stonking good book. Several story lines interwoven against a Scottish landscape. For once the lead character isn't a policeman but a detective with a difference. He's an oceanographer and sometime eco-warrior who tracks flotsam and jetsam back to their source using his knowledge of sea currents. All the story lines appear to be seperate but all start to align the further into the investigations we get. Coupled with a historical mystery makes for a very involved, detailed and fascinating read. Really looking forward to reading more by this author.
