Given my experience with the Shadow and Bone trilogy, I definitely had either extremely low or extremely high expectations for this one.

I’m really happy that I absolutely fell in love with this one. Ketterdam feels more real than Ravka ever did. The characters are well written and have multiple layers. The heist was just *chefkiss* amazing!

This was one of the nail-biting, over-the-age, perfectly paced book and I will definitely recommend this to everyone who wants to read a book that can be described as: Oceans 11 in a fantasy land with crooked characters and lots of flirty banter ♥️
