A House with Good Bones by T. Kingfisher
3.5
A good enough time! What brings me back to T. Kingfisher's writing is the Single Enduring Image that each of her horror books offer, and in this respect it was not a disappointment. Writing style worked better for me in this one than in other tomes, and I enjoy these books as a not-too-serious romp with horror tropes. This said, I had stopped at the 86% mark and just completely forgot I was reading it until I received the notification that the library took it back, so it obviously had a predictable enough denouement that I was willing to imagine it and pretend I'd finished it—a shortcoming.
